Resistance History Network

The Resistance History Network brings together the knowledge of basic historical research at Belgian scientific institutions and universities.

The history of the Resistance during WWII in Belgium is on the rise. More and more people are interested in the big history of resistance during the war or the small history of resistance in their family or hometown. Because fundamental research on the Resistance in Belgium has been underway for decades, it is often difficult to navigate through the mass of information.

The Resistance History Network provides signposts to the available knowledge about the Resistance in Belgium. We also stimulate scientific research on the Resistance with a critical attention to archival sources and the historical context of events. Based on this expertise, we contribute to scientific historiography and social awareness of the importance of the history of the Resistance.

You will not find here references to the existing research and ongoing projects, resources and future initiatives of the Resistance Research Network.
