Collection description :
Janine Binon was a nurse at the Hôpital de l'Océan in La Panne and at Queen Elisabeth's schools "Charles Théodore" and "Marie-Josée" in Wulveringhem. Her collections include photographs taken during her stay in above-mentioned establishments from 1914 to 1918, as well as some photographs taken behind the lines and of other military hospitals abroad (London, Paris,...). There are also photos of King Albert I and Queen Elizabeth at Princess Marie-Josée's communion and on visits to several schools.
