Jens van de Maele
Jens van de Maele (°1985) studied history at KU Leuven and Vancouver. Between 2009 and 2012, he was a research assistant at KU Leuven. From 2012 to 2016, he carried out doctoral research at the Universiteit Gent (Department of Architecture and Urban Planning). His thesis focused on the cultural history of government infrastructure during the 20th century
From 1 May 2017 to 30 September 2018, he carried out research at Cegesoma as part of the preparations for BELvue Museum’s temporary exhibition ‘Brussels, November 1918. From war to peace?’, of which he was co-curator.
