Archive fonds description:
Partial archives of René Goris, industrial, president of Flemish labour union ACVW, archbishop of Mechelen, leader, manufacture NLVC
The fonds René Goris is composed of photocopies of his archives about the Second World War. It is subdivided into five parts. The first one is about the Flemish labour union Algemeen Christelijk Verbond van Werkgevers (ACVW) and about employer organisations during the occupation. The second part is centered around the Manifest of the Corporations. René Goris was indeed involved in this project that was never actually realised. The third part of the fonds deals with social and economic issues during the occupation. The fourth part bears on the social and economic situation of ‘catholic’ workers after the war. Finally, the last part of the archive fonds holds documents about various subjects such as corporatism, the relationship between Leopold III and Liliane Baels, and about Hendrik de Man for instance.
