Antoon Vrints (°1978) holds a doctorate in history from the University of Ghent. His published dissertation, The Theatre of the Street: Public Violence in Antwerp During the First Half of the Twentieth Century, offers a historical analysis of the meanings and functions of street violence. 

He was hired by CEGES in January 2001 for the project : ‘War and Violence : A Comparative Approach to Two World Wars’.

He left CEGES on 31 December 2004.
