Aline Thomas
Aline Thomas (°1994) obtained a master’s degree in German and Dutch languages and literatures (2016) and in history (2019), both at Ghent University. During her studies she tried to focus on various subjects about the First and Second World War. In her master’s thesis in history e.g. she examined the use of street names linked to the Great War as an act of public remembrance and an expression of local political preferences.
As of mid-July 2020, Aline joined Cegesoma as scientific collaborator to the project about the provincial government Limburg during the Second World War. It comprises an update of the archival inventory and historical research, concentrated on the socio-economic impact of the German occupation for the citizens in Limburg.
